maildir-utils software package provides Set of utilities to deal with Maildirs (upstream name mu), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install maildir-utils
maildir-utils is installed in your system.
Make ensure the maildir-utils package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep maildir-utils *
You will get with maildir-utils package name, version, architecture and description in a table
